The Hotwire Effect

CHALLENGE
People didn’t understand how Hotwire actually worked. How could we explain the function of our site in an easy to remember, but memorable way?

SOLUTION
We stripped the experience down to its most basic elements and overly celebrated our unique process of booking hotels.

EXECUTION
Using 3D modeling to create unique hotels we built a fun landscape around them with stock images. Our animation was inspired by stop-motion films and older analog arcade games. We described the on/off states of the scene as “ordinary” and “extraordinary” and when the hotel name was covered and price lowered, we brought the scene to life.
